Job Purpose
To ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the DM/WTP plant during the shift operation includes regular water quality tests, regenerations
of ion exchangers and analysis & monitor/supervision/regulation to ensure that the water meets specific purity standards and requirements.
Key Interactions
1. Daily coordination and collaborate with shift Incharge, other operators to coordinate plant operations and maintenance activities during shift operation.
2. Providing shift reports and updates to shift Incharge and supervisors/hierarchy for any abnormalities causes & seeking approvals for major decisions or
changes in operations.
3. Coordination with Laboratory Incharge for water & steam analysis reports.
4. Handing over and receiving updates from the previous and following shifts to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of operations.
5. Communicating with shift Incharge for smooth & and continuity of operation of shift.
6. Coordination with shift Incharge & housekeeping manpower for cleaning during the operation of shift.
Experience
- 4-6 years with DUT/BAC S2 (chemical)
Skills / Knowledge / Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of DM water treatment processes, equipment, and systems. Knowledge of DCS operation & chemical handling.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues that may arise during the DM treatment process.
- Attention to detail to accurately monitor and analyze water samples and equipment readings.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate and collaborate with team members and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in shift and make quick decisions in emergency situations
- Proficient computer skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
